Strategy call
We here at Sky Drone Media like to start things off with a strategy call. During this call, we will discuss the overall project as a whole. We will identify the subject at hand and what it is we are trying to accomplish/convey with the video and the shots we will need to target your ideal customers that we will be taking to create your ideal short commercial. We will also discuss whether these video segments will best be suited from the ground or in the air, or it may be a combination of both. This call will also help set our expectations on the overall shoot for the video, lighting, accessories, actors involved, and the time frame it will take to execute the video shoot. All of this information that we gather will allow us as a business to execute and deliver the project as per what the customer’s message is they are trying to convey and the overall goal of the video being produced.
Shot locations
After we have a strategy call, we will scout the location of the shoot to find the areas that will allow us to obtain the video that will best be suited for the project at hand.
Choose the right time of day depending on location
When taking high-quality videos that will be taken outside. The shoots will have to be done at a certain time of the day to avoid glare from the sun and avoid bad photo or video conditions that can be caused by weather as well. Most of the time early morning is best suited for these types of shoots.
Plan shot sheet and storyboard
We will discuss the shots that you think will best serve your needs for the project at hand and convey companies overall message to the customers. Sky Drone Media will use this shot list on-site when taking the videos to make sure we are getting the proper angle or image that the customer looking for. We will also utilize a pre-planned storyboard for the actors or persons involved in the video shoot as a guide for the storyline and message being conveyed. We will also make any recommendations for angles or shots we may see while on site.
Discuss deliverable
After we have our footage we will put together a compilation of the best video footage shots to discuss which ones would be best suited to be added to the video for the editing process. All the video shots will then be edited to create your ideal short commercial/ promotional video. We then put together a finalized copy based on your approval to meet your needs.
